About Me

I’m Ella, The owner of Paws Outdoors 🐾

I always knew I wanted to work with dogs but it was adopting Wilbur (my greek mix) that kickstarted my training career and I haven’t looked back since!

After completing my Diploma in Animal Management and spending my weekends working at a rescue & training center, I began shadowing established trainers and attending seminars to expand my knowledge further. Since then I have invested in multiple online courses and am currently taking part in Phoenix K9 USA’s mentorship program.

Outside of behaviour modification I also enjoy going on long hikes, rock climbing, and doing obedience, scentwork, and mantrailing with my own dogs!

About my dogs

Wilbur

Patch

Both of my dogs are a big part of the reason I got into dog training in the first place, but it was Wilbur particularly who sparked my passion for behaviour modification. Due to his genetics, Wilbur had a multitude of health & behaviour problems which were clear from day one. This meant that together we’ve had to grow and I had to re-evaluate everything I thought I knew about dog training. He will forever be my greatest learning curve and best friend ♡

And then there’s Patch - my little sidekick and stooge dog. Her calm, nonthreatening nature makes her every dog trainers dream and i’m so lucky to have ended up with her as a first dog. She’s helped so many nervous & reactive dogs and has become a first friend for many. I wouldn’t be where I am without her.
